Job Description:
Saab, Inc. in East Syracuse, NY is seeking an Associate Quality Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, your primary responsibilities will include:
Collaboration with program quality leads, engineering, and manufacturing on quality issues
Management and Tracking of Corrective Action Requests, including Root Cause and Corrective Action
Teaming with Supplier Quality and Sourcing on Vendor issue resolution
ECR/N generation, review, and CCB participation
Internal manufacturing product support (NCMR’s, PCA’s, FAI’s, etc.).
Performing Internal product/process audits
Identifying and dispositioning nonconforming material
Participation in internal MRB’s
Influencing activities during program execution in accordance with internal standards
Oracle ERP database management.
Incoming and pre-ship inspection support
Calibration/maintenance of equipment support
Compensation Range: $61,600- $75,500
The compensation range provided is a general guideline. Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related Discipline.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Excellent organization and time management/multi-tasking skills.
Experiences with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Access, MS Project, etc.
Desired Skills:
Working knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) programs, procedures, and processes.
Working knowledge of Quality System Management per ISO 9001:2015.
Working knowledge of Electro/Mechanical products/processes and related special processes.
Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
IPC certifications or other related industry certifications is a plus.
Citizenship Requirements:
Must be a U.S. citizen. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
